A Very Alabama Thanksgiving

Would you look at that turkey! My goodness, my dad can grill a bird.

As much as we love our little life in Nashville, we always savor restful days back in Huntsville… the familiar roads and old friends are balm to our souls. And while Chase would prefer chillier falls, I can’t deny loving a Thanksgiving where I can walk around my parents’ backyard with no shoes on. Our Thanksgiving was full of warm backyards, warm bellies, and warm hearts! Highlights include a long hike with my dad, watching Chase play football with Dash, my 4-year-old brother-in-law (how many people can say that?!), and convincing our friends Matt and Ivy to follow us back to Nashville for a day. All around sweetness.

May Thanksgiving transcend November and make its way deep, deep into our hearts!

(P.S. Find a collection of beautiful words on being truly thankful at The Rabbit Room. Thanksgiving has come and gone, but I think you will enjoy!)
